A message from Dr Tahnee Bridson, on Hand-n-Hand's 3rd anniversary

Hello Hand-n-Hand community,

Happy 3rd birthday to us! We’re so excited and also a little in shock that it’s already been 3 years of Hand-n-Hand. Where have the last 3 years gone?! We’ve had so many exciting developments over the last 12 months and I can’t wait to fill you all in.

One of our biggest achievements has been progressing from our garage band beginnings in 2020 to a nationally established company. In the last few months, we have also welcomed our inaugural Board of Directors, which is being led by Dr Kym Jenkins and includes: Prof Brett McDermott, Mr Chris Raine, Ms Angela Magarry, Dr Michael Bonning, Ms Kay Dunkley (as company secretary) and myself (you can get to know the whole Hand-n-Hand team here). We’re also in the process of appointing our very first Executive Officer, who will also be the first person to work in our newly donated offices with thanks to Cabrini Health - we can’t wait to welcome our new team members into our new home in the coming months. Thank you all for your ongoing and amazing support. We couldn’t do it without each and every one of you. I would also like to give a big shout out to our incredible volunteer community, especially our team of triage clinicians, who are integral to our ongoing success. They have donated hours of their own time each week to look after the mental health and wellbeing of healthcare workers across Australia and New Zealand. You - the volunteers - really are the unsung heroes of our organisation, and we hope to celebrate your efforts even more over the coming months. We have lots of other projects in the works for 2023, including introducing our very own Hand-n-Hand scrubs (I know you can’t wait to get your hands on these - no pun intended). But you’ll have to stay tuned and keep up to date via our socials to see what else we have in store for our awesome Hand-n-Hand community! Until next time, Tahnee
