Peer Support Participant

 

After submitting the participant form, your request will be forwarded to Our Triage Team who will contact you via phone call, email or SMS. Our Triage team are group of volunteer mental health clinicians who will discuss your preferences so we can link you in with a facilitator or group who best suits your needs. They may also suggest that peer support is not appropriate for you at this time. For safety reasons, please note we cannot proceed with peer support until the Triage Team contact you. Please note that peer support is not a crisis support service.

Hand-n-Hand Peer Support needs to securely store the contact information you provide to us to carry out this peer support service for you. You may withdraw from peer support at any time, and we will delete this information at your request. You may also opt to receive additional correspondence about events, opportunities, and updates about Hand-n-Hand and our partners; these are optional and you may unsubscribe at any time.

Facilitators

After submitting the facilitator form, we will add your name to our database of interested peer support facilitators. We may contact you if we need more information or to clarify anything. Completing Facilitator Peer Support Training is mandatory for all facilitators. Once completed we will link you in with the next suitable peer support participant or group that is available.

 

Participation in peer support is always voluntary - you may withdraw at any time, for any reason.
